Meet Your Teacher

My name is Loren McClendon, and I am excited to have the opportunity to spend a year of learning with
each of you! This is my third year as a teacher, and I am so very happy to be a part of the CMS family.

I grew up in Coosa County, and I graduated from Coosa Central High in 2004. After high school, I immediately moved to Tuscaloosa and enrolled in the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). While there, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education, and I graduated on May 9, 2009. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Collaborative Education grades 6-12 from Jacksonville State University. I have learned, and continue to learn many new and exciting things through this adventure.

My husband, Wes, and I were married on June 12, 2010.

As I said, I grew up in Coosa County, but he's originally from Northeast Alabama (Albertville to be exact). We bought a house in Sylacauga two years ago and live there with our miniature dachshund, Bella.

I look forward to the new school year. We will be going on many exciting journeys through the pages of the books we will be reading!
